This 83mm x 83mm x 1250mm treated pine chamfered and beaded deck newel post is built to anchor handrail and balustrade systems on raised decks, steps, balconies and garden decking. The chamfered and beaded detail at the top gives a clean, traditional finish without compromising structural strength.
Made from slow-grown northern pine for reduced movement and better resistance to twisting and warping, the post is pressure treated with TANALITH E for protection against rot and weathering. It accepts paint, stain, oil or varnish, and is commonly used to complete deck railing kits that are supplied without posts.
